At qb, our goal is to give each of our customers the fastest service possible at a competitive price matching your individual usage pattern. Our Fair Use Policy is designed to ensure the best speed for all our users. |
| | | qb Internet Services | | A small number of our users run so called Peer to Peer or file sharing software, transferring video and other large files at day time when the usage of the network is high. Such use during traffic peak times, may affect the speed of the broadband service for other users. We do not believe this is fair to the vast majority of our subscribers. | | Q: Am I likely to be affected by the Fair Use Policy? | | If you do not use file sharing software or routinely transfer large files it is unlikely you will ever be affected by this policy. If you do use Peer-to-Peer or other file sharing software, we ask that you use this software considerately and transfer large files outside of peak hours which is daytime (08:00-22:00). | | Q: What will happen if my internet use is high? | If your internet use is very high, you should choose the volume-based data package, which allow you to use internet unlimited.
With our standard time-based charging package, you are allowed to use up to 1.5GB (combined upload download) per month (starting from the first time you use our data service). If you expect your usage to be higher you can easily change your package at any of our qbCenters. | | Q: How can I manage my usage? | Simply ensure that any file sharing or transfer of large files is done outside of peak hours.
qb's normal data package will fit all normal usage like Web surfing, email and a reasonable amount of downloading and uploading and be feasible for the majority of our users.
